Valari Westeren

Valari Westeren is a copy editor, proofreader, and fiction writer. She began her editing journey by working for an adjunct professor of theology at her alma mater, working on material from class PowerPoints to the professor's Pauline power studies dissertation. Since then she has transitioned to the role of independent contractor, working with both general and Christian publishers, such as Globe Pequot (formerly Rowman & Littlefield), Bloomsbury, Lifeway Christian Resources, and Invite Resources--plus the occasional hybrid Christian publisher and indie author.
Her specialties include copy editing and proofreading for Christian nonfiction, Bible studies, devotionals, and arts/humanities. As a fiction writer and founding member of the Author Conservatory, a three-year mentorship program in which she earned certification in Creative Writing & Publishing and Business & Entrepreneurship, she is also equipped to work on fiction projects.
